Shannon Smiatek
Interim Executive Officer & Events Manager

Shannon was promoted as the interim Executive Officer in November and will ascend to the position in mid-December. She will continue to serve as the Event Coordinator during this period. In this role, she works to coordinate, develop and manage special events including the annual HOME SHOW, Chili Cook-off and networking nights. She also works closely with the Executive Director in maintaining and updating the HBA's finances. Prior to this, she served as the association's Administrative Assistant since 2001. Shannon grew up in North Little Rock and is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas. She currently lives in North Little Rock with her husband, Tom, two children and their dog, Heidi.
Focus areas: HOME SHOW, Event Management and Registration, Chili Cook-off, Associate Appreciation Night, Speed Networking, Annual Holiday Gala, Golf Tournament and Mix and Mingles.
Sara Reeder
Membership & Marketing Coordinator

Sara became the HBA's Membership & Marketing Coordinator in September of 2011. In this role, she works to develop and manage membership recruitment and retention programs. Moreover, she coordinates general marketing, communications and branding of the association including writing press releases and editing the monthly newsletter. Prior to the joining the HBA-GLR team, Sara worked as a outside sales representative for Kraft Foods. She is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in Public Relations. Sara currently resides in Maumelle and is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Brandon Tedder

Brandon Tedder was sworn in as President of the HBA in December 2011. In this role, he leads the Board of Directors in reviewing and establishing association policy. He is also the spokesperson of the association, approving press releases and handling media interviews and requests. Brandon joined the HBA in 2005 and stepped onto the board a few short years afterwards. He is certified as a green professional (CGP). He owns Renaissance Homes.
