Congratulations on your decision to apply for membership as a Registered Builder, Registered Remodeler, or Developer member of the  Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock.  You are taking the first steps towards professionalism.  The Registered Builder Program was created to identify the builder members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock as builders of quality homes who meet legal and ethical standards that are superior to non-member builders.  HBA-GLR's Registered Builder logo symbolizes excellence, instills confidence in the buying public and provides a unique sales tool.  The Registered Builder Program will help you stay on the leading edge of the home building industry.

Builder & Remodeler Requirements

Applicants for the Registered Builder and Registered Remodeler memberships must meet the following requirements:

Have a valid state of Arkansas contractors license

*Name on License
B.
Have Worker's Compensations and General Liability Insurance Coverage (please submit copy)
C.
Have been in the construction business for a minimum of one (1) year
*Date of 1st Permit
D.
Have controlled and supervised all phases of construction including the financial and "on-site" responsibilities of residential dwelling units

List locations and purchasers of dwelling units you have completed and closed for reference. Please include phone numbers.

All Registered Builder, Registered Remodeler, and Developer applicants must meet the following requirements:

*List the names of the principal banks or financial institutions with which you have recently placed loans

Please also supply names and phone numbers of your principal plumbing, lumber, electrical, contractors/suppliers, and other persons or companies who are familiar with your work and how you conduct your business (i.e. mortgage companies, drywall, concrete suppliers, etc)

The Registered Builder Committee reserves the right to recommend or deny approval of your application based on your previous experience and/or other factors that may indicate that you are/are not qualified to represent the Association in a professional manner.


DUES SCHEDULE

$485

Dues payments to the HBA-GLR are NOT deductible as charitable contributions for federal tax purposes. However, dues payments may be deductible as an "ordianary and necessary" business expense.
