Home Builders Association Honored with Three National Awards
August 29, 2011– The National Association of Home Builders presented the HBA of Greater Little Rock with three awards: Best Public Relations Program (GREEN BUILT Model Home), Best Membership Recruitment/Retention Plan Implemented and Best Council Development Program (GREEN BUILT Council). NAHB presented these honors at the Association Excellence Awards ceremony in Naples, FL.
“I can’t begin to tell you how proud I am of our association," said Bret Franks, President of the HBA. "Being the best among 800+ chapters across the nation is humbling." The GREEN BUILT Model Home was a major project for the HBA and succeeded in educating members and consumers on the value and importance of green construction. ”And, as many associations were cutting staff, events and other necessities these past few years, the HBA of Greater Little Rock actually grew,” added Franks.
The HBA of Greater Little Rock also won three awards in 2009. Currently, the association has 340 members representing all facets of construction, from contractors to lenders to suppliers.
